Deaf Ministry

All of our services are interpreted for the deaf by experienced interpreters. The interpreters at Berean have over 20 years of experience and are currently training new members, who have a heart for the deaf, to “speak” American Sign Language.

We offer a sunday school class specifically for the deaf. This class meets Sunday mornings, 9:45 a.m. and is taught by Scott Camp. The class has 6-8 members — a combination of hearing-imparied and others who are learning basic sign language.

Our children’s ministry, the Cook Cookies Club, ages 5-8, is also involved weekly in learning songs and Bible verses in sign langauage. The kids are a frequent addition to our evening services as they serve God with their signing.

Periodically on Monday evenings, classes are offered for members interested in Basic Signing. Those who complete the classes use their skills interpreting announcements, songs, and messages for Sunday and Wednesday services.
