Music Academy
Our purpose is to provide quality music education in a Christian environment for children and adults. Our program is designed to maximize the student’s musical potential with the goal of preparing each individual for future service in ministry, musical performance, and enjoyment. The Academy provides private and group lessons for more than 200 students in the following areas of instruction:

- Bass
- Saxophone

Private Lessons
Individual lesson times are scheduled at the convenience of the teacher and student. No lessons will take place on Sundays, or at any other time which would conflict with any regular church activities. Students enrolling for private lessons may request a teacher. Requests will be granted based upon availability.
Group Lessons
Instrument Classes will be offered based upon interest (2-4 students, beginning and intermediate levels). Strongly encouraged for those beginning a new instrument.
Hymnplaying Classes will be offered based upon interest (3-4 students, intermediate and advanced pianists only).
Violin Ensemble Classes will be offered based upon interest (3-4 students, intermediate and advanced levels). Class reviews ensemble music, orchestra scores, cantatas, and selections for community performances. Must be enrolled in BBMA private lessons.
Recitals
A formal recital will be held each spring. Recitals afford each student the necessary opportunity to perform in a public setting and allow family and friends to see how each student is progressing.
Tuition
All rates listed below are monthly fees for one (1) weekly lesson.
Choirs and Orchestra: $20
Violin Ensemble Class: $20
Speech Classes: $40
Other Classes/Group Lessons: $60
30 minute Private Lesson: $75
45 minute Private Lesson: $105
60 minute Private Lesson: $135
Schedule
The Academy operates during the standard school year and incorporates 35 weekly lessons. The first semester schedule will begin August 17 and will end December 18. The second semester schedule begins January 3 and ends May 14. There are four holiday weeks during the year in which no lessons will be given (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Spring Break).
Most months have four (4) lessons, but some months will have five (5) while others will have only three (3). Tuition is based on the average for the nine month schedule; therefore, the cost will be the same for each month no matter how many weeks are in the month.

*A small fee will be charged for seminars. We encourage all students to attend. Community guests are welcome.
